🎙️ Affordable housing isn’t a construction problem. It’s a capital infrastructure problem.

In this episode of Tangelic Talks, hosts Victoria and TJ speak with Nick Khamsopa, CEO of Hudson Housing Lifestyle. Nick is spearheading a mission to build 5,000 units of affordable workforce housing across New York State.

He breaks down the reality of scaling mixed-use, transit-oriented development. From identifying abandoned brownfields to negotiating with local municipalities, Nick explains how he aligns 100% union labor with institutional capital from Wall Street and union pension funds.

In This Episode, We Explore:
🏗️ Nick's path from a union carpenter to overseeing high-speed rail.
💰 The economics of affordable housing and why government subsidies are the only way to close the gap on $300/sq ft construction costs.
🏘️ Why workforce housing (for teachers, nurses, and police) is critical to keeping local economies alive.
🤝 How to win community trust by guaranteeing local union jobs.
📊 Why institutional investors won't fund a single building, but will fund a 5,000-unit portfolio.
