This video dives deep into the high-stakes geopolitical maneuvers reshaping the Horn of Africa, specifically focusing on the controversial Somaliland-Israel deal and the BRICS influence.

Somaliland, Israel, BRICS, Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb, Geopolitics, Ethiopia, Somalia, and the Gulf of Aden are all at the center of a massive global power shift. This episode of Think BRICS exposes the real reason behind the strategic alliance between Somaliland and Israel, exploring how this "Sovereignty for Sale" deal is redrawing the map of the Middle East and Africa. We analyze the Port of Berbera's role as a critical chokepoint for Global Trade and Maritime Security, alongside Ethiopia's desperate quest for sea access through a naval base agreement.

The video provides an in-depth breakdown of how BRICS News is being made by members like China, Russia, India, and the UAE, who each hold conflicting interests in the region. We examine the resistance from Egypt and Saudi Arabia, the neutral but wary stance of Iran, and how the US is attempting to counter-balance China’s growing influence. From the historical colonial divisions to modern-day Proxy War dynamics, we unpack why Israel views a military presence in Somaliland as a stabilizing factor against the Arab League and how this impacts somaliland recognition.

While we provide a comprehensive look at the Israel Somaliland connection, this video does not cover the specific day-to-day tactical movements of the US-led task force Prosperity Guardian or the European Union’s operation Aspides. We do not delve into the internal domestic policy debates of the 150 nations recently seen in Moscow, nor do we provide a detailed technical analysis of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) engineering specs, though we mention its geopolitical weight. Furthermore, this report does not include live interviews with current Somali or Ethiopian heads of state, nor does it provide investment advice for entities looking to fund infrastructure in the Port of Berbera. Our focus remains on the broader Geopolitics, Sovereignty, and the shifting loyalties within the BRICS block and their allies.
