The Russian Aerospace Forces have just suffered a catastrophic strategic blow. In a devastating precision attack deep inside Russian territory, the Ukrainian Navy struck the Voronezh Borisoglebsk airbase, eliminating six fully loaded, multi-million dollar Su-34M tactical bombers. This unprecedented raid was executed using the newly modified RK-360L "Long Neptune" missile, which now boasts a massive 1,000-kilometer range and active radar seekers capable of bypassing electronic warfare. To pave the way for this strike, Ukrainian unmanned systems systematically dismantled Russia's air defense umbrella, obliterating a critical $50 million 96L6 early warning radar and multiple S-400 launchers—capping a five-month, $5.4 billion air defense destruction campaign. By wiping out an entire year of Novosibirsk's UAC Su-34 production capacity in a single night, Ukraine has left zero safe jump bases within a 500-kilometer radius. The Kremlin is now forced into a fatal logistical dilemma: pull the jets back into deeper territory and burn through sanctioned AL-31F engine lifespans, or face total fleet annihilation. In this SITREP, we analyze the devastating 1,000km Neptune strike and the collapse of Putin's frontline bomber fleet.
