Historic home of offshore racing, since 1960 the port of Plymouth has welcomed every generation of multihull as the departure point of the famous English transatlantic race. One of the largest natural ports in the world, its history also takes in Brittany Ferries. The famous ferry company, created by Alexis Gourvennec in 1976 and backed by Breton vegetable producers, was the first proper link connecting Brittany and England.
