MATCH PREVIEW

Fifteen games of the season to go, and by my rough reckoning Wigan are going to need to win at least six of them to stand any chance of extending their seven-season stay in the Premier League. When you consider that they've won only three of the first 23 games, it re-affirms the idea most seem to have that this is their year for the drop.

Roberto Martinez remains as positive as he is likeable, pointing to his side's second-half performance in defeat at Spurs on Tuesday as evidence that they do have the abilities to get the necessary results. Having been impressed by The Latics fleetingly on several occasions this season I don't doubt their abilities, but have deep reservations about their resilience.
I'm afraid the facts and figures are pretty grim: four Premier League defeats in a row, eight without a win, no win at home since August, AND they've got the league's leakiest defence allied to having scored fewer goals than any other team.
David Moyes said Everton's victory against league leaders Manchester City on Tuesday was one of the best of his near 10 years in charge, and having been at the game I'm not surprised. Full of energy and roared on by a passionate crowd, they didn't give City's players a moment to settle and, when they were threatened, defended superbly. The difficulty for this game will be finding a similarly adrenalin-fuelled performance at the DW Stadium.
Everton haven't scored more than once in any of their last 11 league matches, and Moyes will be keen to see chances taken against opposition that's kept only one clean sheet i
