BMC on Friday (June 13) issued a high tide alert in Mumbai after freak tidal waves led to water-logging in parts of the city. The meteorology department officials said the tide, which was 4.38 metres high, got a thrust due to heavy breeze caused by cyclonic storm Nanauk.
