00:10First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a ratings boost.
00:14Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we're counting down our picks for the Top 10 TV Weddings.
00:20I'm nervous, that's how I am, nervous.
00:22Well, to tell the truth, I've got a few butterflies in my stomach.
00:25For this list, we're looking at those weddings that happened on our favorite TV shows between some of our favorite
00:30characters.
00:31Some of us waited the entire series for these nuptials to happen.
00:35What's better than watching two fictional characters make their love official in the eyes of TV law?
00:40They all got ordained! They're all marrying us! It's adorable! If you want to hear, come closer!
00:47Spoiler alert! If you haven't seen some of these weddings, there are a few surprises that may or may not
00:52ruin your viewing experiences.
00:53You have been warned.
00:55Now, let's start the walk down the aisle.
00:57Josh, you better go before we do something really stupid.
01:00Number 10. Andy and April, Parks and Recreation.
01:04It was supposed to be a big surprise, but tonight, me and April are getting married...
01:10...to each other.
01:12Perpetually disinterested April and doofy but lovable Andy surprised everyone with their spur-of-the-moment surprise wedding.
01:18I was like, what if we got married tomorrow? And she was like...
01:25Fine.
01:26While their guests may have thought they were simply attending a party...
01:30Oh my god, this is really happening.
01:32...they were actually witnessing the union of a couple that really hadn't been dating all that long.
01:36We are gathered here today to marry Andrew Maxwell Dwyer and April Roberta Ludgate.
01:44In spite of their unexpected ceremony, these two characters seem to genuinely love each other.
01:49I guess I kind of hate most things, but I never really seem to hate you.
01:55And that's what weddings are all about, right?
01:57I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Is that cool?
02:00Yes.
02:01Number 9. Mike and Carol, The Brady Bunch.
02:04Well, I certainly hope the bride isn't as nervous as the groom.
02:07No, not my bride. I'm sure the future Mrs. Brady is cool, calm and collected.
02:13Their wedding was more than a family affair. It was a family imposition.
02:17I'm shaking like a leaf.
02:19While there seemed to be pre-wedding jitters on both sides of the aisle,
02:22everyone knew what they were getting into.
02:24Between six kids, a dog and a maid, let's just say the Brady's didn't travel light.
02:30Well, aren't you going to kiss the bride?
02:32You bet I am.
02:36And their wedding was as much of a family-friendly mess as you can imagine.
02:43I told you boys to put that dog back in the car!
02:46Number 8. Joanie and Chachi, Happy Days.
02:50You know we want to see each other again. You're just too stubborn to admit it.
02:53He'd been chasing her on and off for a while, before she finally relented and gave him a chance.
03:05It might have been the wisest decision she made, because the two eventually ended up falling madly in love.
03:18After breaking up and making up, forming a band and seeking fame and fortune, this rocking couple finally tied the
03:25knot on the show's series finale.
03:31What a way to make an exit.
03:34So thank you all for being part of our family.
03:39To happy dates.
03:41Number 7. Howard and Bernadette, The Big Bang Theory.
03:45You're in a good mood.
03:47Yeah, well, why wouldn't I be?
03:48I'm marrying the girl of my dreams and finally got my mother to agree not to come on our honeymoon.
03:54Nerds need love too, and when they find it, it's beautiful.
03:58Thanks to a pesky thing like Howard's impending space trip, these two love nerds had to move up their trip
04:03down the aisle,
04:04which meant their friends got ordained and the ceremony moved to the roof.
04:08Ma, you want to move your chair over here so you can see?
04:12I'm fine where I am. I don't want to fall off the roof.
04:16With lots of yelling, a bit of Klingon,
04:19Dachdash Mokka, Mokka, Dachdash Mokka.
04:21Sheldon, I told you no Klingon.
04:24and some perfect timing on behalf of the Google Earth satellite,
04:27Howard and Bernadette got their happily ever after.
04:30We now pronounce you husband and wife.
04:43Matthew and Mary, Downton Abbey.
04:46Are you looking forward to the wedding?
04:48Yes.
04:48What do you think?
04:49Their relationship started off cordially enough,
04:52with minor inconveniences like familial politics and Mary's initial dislike of Matthew causing some tension.
04:59That sounds rather ominous.
05:00But as in all great love stories, they overcame their differences,
05:04their attachments to other people, and the First World War to finally fall in love and
05:09marry in an elegant ceremony.
05:11We've come to expect such flawless do's from this family, since they're accustomed to the finer things.
05:16You came.
05:19To be honest, I wasn't completely sure you would.
05:22I'm glad to hear it.
05:24I should hate to be predictable.
05:27Number five, Lily and Marshall, How I Met Your Mother.
05:31My god.
05:32You're getting engaged tonight.
05:35Yeah.
05:36What are you doing tonight?
05:38We've been waiting since day one to see these two tie the knot.
05:41Literally, Marshall proposes in the pilot.
05:43Will you marry me?
05:45Of course, you idiot!
05:47But that doesn't make their special day any less magical.
05:51When do you do?
05:52Tuesday.
05:53Wow, that's soon.
05:54Last Tuesday.
05:55However, that magic comes with some issues.
05:58Like old boyfriends, pregnant harpists, and bad, bad hair.
06:01From those lemons, these guys make lemonade in the form of a small secret impromptu ceremony
06:06in the park.
06:07Followed by the big shindig everyone expects.
06:10Best of both worlds.
06:12Because when we all look back on that day, what we remember is the first wedding.
06:16The intimate outdoor ceremony with just close friends.
06:20Number four, Luke and Laura, General Hospital.
06:23Lucas Lorenzo Spencer, king of the single life, is giving it up today.
06:31And I'm getting married in the morning.
06:36Ding dong.
06:38It would be the understatement of the century to say their relationship started out on rocky footing.
06:43Marrying your rapist may seem a little unconventional to most people.
06:47But clearly, that's not the case in the soap opera world.
06:50Luke and Laura actually went on to become a super couple.
06:53Of course they are, and it couldn't be a more perfect day.
06:56Being incredibly popular with viewers.
06:58And their long-awaited wedding in November 1981 shattered soap opera ratings.
07:03There is no marriage.
07:07I'll tell you!
07:09Talk about a twist.
07:10No!
07:11No!
07:12No!
07:14No!
07:16No!
07:16No!
07:17No!
07:17No!
07:17No!
07:19No!
07:19We want no opportunity.
07:26A lot of money and planning went towards this wedding.
07:30And while it is beautiful, it does not end well.
07:32Are you serious?
07:33Why not?
07:34I mean, why not?
07:35Because you've only known her six weeks!
07:37Okay?
07:37I've got a carton of milk in my refrigerator I've had a longer relationship with.
07:41In front of their closest friends and family, amid the candlelight and string quartet, Ross
07:45declares his love for not Emily. Oh the drama, not to mention the true object of
07:56his affections has just flown across an ocean to declare her love for him. This
08:01thing was doomed from the start. Number two, Jim and Pam, The Office. Oh look,
08:10Mrs. Pam Halpert. That's the first time I've seen it in writing. We were rooting
08:17for them for so long and they actually end up getting married, twice. Wedding
08:22jitters and mishaps get the better of this pair and they disappear without
08:26explanation. When they finally show up at the church, they find their friends have
08:30prepared something special for them.
08:43Interspersed between the ridiculous dancing, we find out that Jim and Pam
08:47actually got married an hour before, in one of the most romantic ceremonies we've
08:51ever seen on TV.
09:00Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.
09:19We are gathered here today to witness the wedding of Myra and Harold.
09:51Number one, Edmure Tully and Rosalind Frey, Game of Thrones. Fans of George R.R.
09:58Martin's novels knew what was coming, but plenty of folks were unprepared.
10:05Known as the Red Wedding, this ceremony sees a union of politics and convenience
10:10take place, but what follows is a reception fueled by revenge, where main
10:14characters are slaughtered left and right. Sure, a wedding does happen, but a
10:19pregnant woman also gets stabbed through the belly, so we'd say this one ends on an
10:23unhappy note. Thanks, Lannisters.
10:25Mother. The Lannisters send their regards.

10:42I swear on this dead crow that I will never cook for you. I love you.
10:48Thank you very much.
10:51So thank you.
10:54You
