Tom Cruise took to the stage in Tokyo on Friday (June 27) to promote his latest work "Edge of Tomorrow."
The sci-fi action movie is being released in Japan under the title, "All You Need is Kill" as the story-line is based on a Japanese novel of the same name.
The film features Cruise as Major William Cage who's been forced into a war against aliens who have invaded the Earth.
After dying within minutes of landing, Cage is thrown into a time loop forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over; but in so doing, it allows him to learn new skills, with the help of Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski, played by Emily Blunt.
Cruise admitted the fight scenes were especially gruelling for his young English co-star.
