Even as the BCCI is strongly backing Ravindra Jadeja at the scufflegate hearing, it was forced to do so in the insistence of Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The BCCI, ECB and N Srinivasan-led ICC were keen to find a compromise to end the matter but Dhoni rejected the compromise formula.
