PRESENTED BY SOUMIL SHRINGARPURE
Mr. Manual Manuel is guitarist/composer Adil Manuel’s collaborative project. Building off his varied influences, MMM blends his trademark Funk/Jazz Fusion/Rnb sound with other styles.
This collaboration happened in February'15 when Adil had just moved to Bombay. It features vocalist/flautist Rasika Shekar (SEL), bassist Adil Kurwa(The Colour Compound), drummer Agneya Chikte and keyboardist Jayakrishnan Unnithan. The song is called "Khud" and was penned by Manoj Yadav (Lyricist - Piku, Ungli, Coke Studio, etc) and composed by Manuel/Rasika.
What was originally supposed to be an acoustic duo song by taking one of Kabir's dohas, dramatically changed overnight and culminated into this special collaboration.
Schedules permitted one rehearsal and everything fell into place! Khud is quite the crossover song with some curve balls and V turns thrown in.
