Footage of water being handed out to commuters at Brighton Station after it was closed due to overcrowding fears last night on the hottest day of the year.
The video shows a crowd gathered at the gates as people try to push through, after the station was hit by delays and cancellations throughout the day.
A signalling failure near London as well as a small sink hole beneath a track reportedly caused the problems, on a day when temperatures soared to more than 30 degrees celsius.
The station was closed after 7 o'clock to give staff a chance to control the crowds.
