On Tuesday, Paytm announced the launch of its payments bank in India, with a public notice in all the national dailies. The firm also made an announcement about the same in a blogpost.

പേയ്മെന്റ് ബാങ്ക് ആകാനുള്ള പേടിഎമ്മിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ റിസര്വ്വ് ബാങ്ക് അംഗീകരിച്ചതോടെയാണ് പേടിഎം ബാങ്കിംഗ് രംഗത്ത് സജീവമാകുന്നത്. പേടിഎം പേയ്മെന്റ് ബാങ്ക് ലിമറ്റഡ് എന്ന് പേരില് പ്രാഥമിക സേവനങ്ങള് നല്കുന്ന ബാങ്കിന്റെ പ്രവര്ത്തനം ഇന്ന് മുതല് ആരംഭിച്ചു. ആദ്യ മൂന്ന് വര്ഷം കൊണ്ട് 5 കോടി ഉപഭോക്താക്കളെ നേടാനാണ് ബാങ്ക് ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്.
