ADNAN OKTAR: Anger is a dangerous emotion. For example, anger causes hair loss, dryness of the mouth, and the pupils to shrink, leading to a decrease in our eyes ability to see clearly. It causes stomach disorders such as ulcer. It causes allergies and itching on the skin, which might spread to the entire body. It sometimes even causes urticaria and skin rashes. Anger and rage can also lead to hernia in the spine or the neck due to the fits of spasms. Anger is an all-consuming emotion.
ADNAN OKTAR: Indeed, it leads to all sorts of problems.
AYLİN KOCAMAN: "It affects the memory," you said before.
ADNAN OKTAR: Of course, it affects the memory. It deteriorates one's ability of judgment, reasoning and speech. Anger and hatred are dangerous emotions. It definitely brings with it trouble. God rendered it unlawful in the Qur'an, saying "do not give in to anger, it only brings trouble." And indeed, troubles arrive immediately, in the blink of an eye. In a sense, anger is a temptation that needs to be satisfied, but a terribly harmful temptation nonetheless. People should quickly avoid this. A justifiable temptation is alright but the temptation of anger is very dangerous. An angry person does not rest until he breaks and destroys. He has to wreak destruction. He has to hit his head on the walls, tear his clothes apart, hurt and bleed himself. You brought your own ruin by doing so but what did you gain from it? You gained nothing. It is utterly harmful. People must be educated on this issue. The Prophet Solomon (pbuh) says in the Proverbs; "A quick-tempered person does foolish things, and the one who devises evil schemes is hated." In another chapter, he also says, "Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult." They can swear as much as they want, but they are only swearing at themselves. They spew filth from their mouths. Their mouths are like sewage that spills onto no one but themselves. Why would you take offense at what they say? The vile words belong to those who utter them. The filth coming out from their mouths only stains themselves. You say, "He spewed his filth on me." But he did not spew his filth on you, but on himself. Why would you take offense at what they say?
