Jeffrey Tambor wants you to know that he is not a predator.
The Emmy Winner released a statement to Us Weekly after allegations were made that he had sexually harassed his Transparent costar.
Jeffrey says that for the past four years he’s had the privilege to work on a show that has had an enormous impact on a community that has been too long dismissed and misunderstood. Now he finds himself accused of behavior that any civilized person would condemn unreservedly. He added that he knows he hasn’t always been the easiest person to work with, admitting that he can be volatile and ill-tempered, and too often he expressed his opinions harshly and without tact. But he has never been a predator – ever.
The allegations were made by Trace Lysette… and she says Trambor trapped her against a wall and began quick, discreet thrusts against her body.
A former assistant to the actor has also accused Trambor of inappropriate behavior… and he was also denied those claims.
