The world can’t get enough of U.S. snowboarder Chloe Kim. During the athlete’s epic run, her dad, Jong Jing Kim, was seen at the bottom of the halfpipe clutching a homemade sign that said “Chloe” with a pink heart. (Jong Jong Jin emigrated from South Korea to the United States in 1982 with just $800 dollars in his pocket.) Chloe is beyond grateful for her parents’ sacrifices and tells Us Weekly that having them with her in PyeongChang has made the experience that much better.
