PRESENTED BY JULIAN KARPINSKI
Boxwine Prophets is a band born of late night, after hours of jam sessions, gigs from barrooms to clubs, to festivals, and a musical camaraderie and culture that’s endured for over a decade.
In addition to the Prophets’ own music, as the house band at Earthtone Analog Recording Studio, they have played behind performers such as Earl Guthrie, John Clay, and others, both live, and in the studio.
The Prophets’ music is a mixture of old school rock, blues, soul, country, jazz, and funky r&b.
The band is comprised of Steve Sturgill (vocals, guitar, keys), Chet Surgener (drums, percussion, vocals), Joe Easley (bass, vocals), Tim Ragan (guitar, vocals), and Mike Hood (keys, vocals).
