Jeep Wrangler 2018 Car Review

The Jeep Wrangler can be a series of compact and mid-size (Wrangler Unlimited and Wrangler 4-door JL) off-road vehicle models, manufactured by Jeep since 1986, and currently in their fourth generation. The Wrangler JL was unveiled in late 2017 and will also be produced at Jeep's Toledo Complex. The Wrangler is possibly an indirect progression in the World War II Jeep, with the CJ (Civilian Jeeps) made by Willys, Kaiser-Jeep and American Motors Corporation (AMC) in the mid-1940s through 1980s. Neither AMC nor Chrysler (after it purchased AMC in 1987) have claimed how the Wrangler would be a direct descendant on the original military model. Nevertheless, similar to the Willys MB along with the CJ Jeeps before it, all Wrangler models continue using a separate body and frame, rigid live axles both front and back, a tapering nose design with flared fenders, a fold-flat windshield, and may be driven without doors. Also, with few exceptions, they've already part-time four-wheel drive systems, using the choice of high and low gearing, and standard are open bodies with removable hard- or soft-tops. However, the Wrangler series was made to be more at ease on-road so that they can attract more daily drivers, by upgrading its suspension, drivetrain, and interior, when compared to the CJ line. Specifically, the suspension on all Wranglers benefits on the addition of trackbars and anti-roll bars, and through the 1996 TJ onwards also from coil-springs as opposed to leaf-springs. Since 2004 long-wheelbase versions are already available under the name Wrangler Unlimited. Initially the Unlimited would be a two door model, but as 2006 it is offered being a four-door model.
