00:00♪♪
00:22Thou shalt take without griping the medicine issued for the prevention of malaria and other diseases.
00:30For verily, if ye do not take these precautions,
00:34ye shall descend to the very depths of disease and despair.
00:40Ain't it the truth?
00:42Fighting men in combat areas are issued a little pill called Atabrine,
00:46which protects them against malaria because malaria is a killer.
00:51And it's carried by this little bloodsucker, the mosquito.
00:56♪♪
01:00Now here are a bunch of fellas getting their Atabrine pills.
01:03O'Brien? No mosquito's gonna stop him.
01:06Moore? He just doesn't like to argue.
01:10Smith? He isn't crazy about him, but he takes them anyway.
01:14Gomez? He's had enough of this stuff to sink an LST.
01:18And this little sharpshooter doesn't like it at all.
01:23Schultz? Ugwell? Murphy? And...
01:26Oh, who's this?
01:28Oh yeah, McGillicuddy, the problem child.
01:32Hmm, doesn't need pills. A wise guy.
01:36Thinks he's Superman.
01:39You'd better take that pill, Mac.
01:41Come on, you're a big boy now. They don't taste bad.
01:46Well, not that bad.
01:48So come on, Mac, down the hatch.
01:52-♪♪
01:56All right, all right, let's see your hand.
02:01No, no, the other hand.
02:05You're not kidding anybody.
02:09♪♪
02:12The hand is quicker than the eye.
02:15Magic, a prestidigitator.
02:18♪♪
02:23Hey, what did you do in civilian life, Mac?
02:27Molasses.
02:29Oh, brother.
02:32♪♪
02:36You wouldn't be trying to get sick, would you?
02:39You're not chicken, are you?
02:41You can be just as dead from malaria as you can from a japped bullet.
02:47You can?
02:49You didn't think of it that way, did you, Mac?
02:52Come on, get it down.
02:55Now you're cooking.
02:59Didn't you, uh, forget something?
03:02♪♪
03:08Now he's mad.
03:09This is it.
03:10No punk pill is gonna get him.
03:12He's got it up to his lips.
03:13It's over his lips.
03:14It's crossing his teeth.
03:15He almost made it.
03:16Look, he's gonna try it again.
03:18Quiet now, quiet.
03:19Here's the play.
03:20Just a minute.
03:21I can't quite see what's going on.
03:22It's down.
03:23No, no, it's up.
03:24It's a fumble.
03:25No, no, he's recovered.
03:26He's recovered.
03:27Keep trying, Mac.
03:28Keep trying.
03:29If you don't get that pill down, what'll happen to you shouldn't happen to a dog.
03:35A dog?
03:39♪♪
03:49Nothing in his spoon.
03:51Nothing in his hands.
03:53Nothing in his pockets.
03:55Nothing in his head.
03:59♪♪
04:06You're a pretty sharp character, aren't you, Mac?
04:10Here's a character who is just a little bit sharper.
04:14♪♪
04:22Target for tonight.
04:24♪♪
04:30Yep.
04:31You really put one over, didn't you?
04:34On McGillicuddy.
04:37Now, Mac, how do you like malaria?
04:41First you freeze.
04:46Then you burn.
04:49Then you freeze.
04:50Then you burn.
04:51You freeze.
04:52You burn.
