24:04That when the sun hits them just right, they shine a bluish purple.

24:16They like to sit and rest on their balconies.

24:25They've got a nest of eggs or maybe chicks already.
24:28Each pair of purple Martins has its own hole, its own nesting chamber in the house.
24:34And they're working together to raise chicks.
24:37It's a short summer season.
24:39So they're really, really busy.
24:41They've got to feed up their hashlings so that they're ready to fly.
24:45So they're strong and healthy.
24:47So they can make their migration south to the rainforest, to the Amazon rainforest,
24:53which is where they spend the winter.
24:55Purple Martins are cavity nesters.
24:58They nest in holes, sometimes natural holes.
25:01But more and more, they like to live in nest boxes that humans set up for them.
25:07And they have to be nesting together in groups.
25:10The more purple Martins there are, the more successful their nesting season is going to be.
