00:05You like Wild Kratts, huh?
00:09Hey, I'm Martin.
00:10And I'm Chris.
00:11We're the Krat Brothers.
00:12This amazing cheetah cub is only six months old.
00:15But he's already faster than us or any human.
00:19His name is Chico.
00:20And like all cheetahs, he loves to run.
00:23He's into any running game.
00:24But first, he's got to get fueled up.
00:30When cheetahs eat, they eat fast.
00:32Because out on the savannah, there are lions, leopards, wild dogs.
00:36Everybody wants to get a piece of the cheetah's prey.
00:41All right, all fueled up.
00:42Let's see if this cheetah cub is ready for action.
00:45Let's play ball.
00:47Chico, ready?
00:49Go.
00:51Woo-hoo!
00:52Light and lean.
00:54And cheetahs are built for speed.
00:56And because they are so light and lean,
00:58each push of a cheetah's back leg sends them flying through the air.
01:02All right, Chico, here it goes.
01:08Oh, look at those long legs.
01:12The cheetah has incredibly long legs.
01:15Some of the longest in the cat world.
01:19And those legs help them reach speeds of 70 miles per hour,
01:23making them the fastest land animal in the world.
01:28How would it feel to run like a cheetah?
01:31Imagine if we had the racing power of the cheetah
01:34and could run as fast as a cheetah can.
01:37What if?
01:45On adventure with the coolest creatures
01:47From the oceans to the trees
01:49The brothers' cracks are going places
01:52You never get to see
01:54Hanging with their creature friends
01:56Get ready, it's the hour
01:58We're gonna save some animals today
02:01With the creature powers
02:02Gonna go wild, wild, crats
02:05Gonna go wild, wild, crats
02:07Gonna go wild, wild, crats
02:09Gonna go wild, wild, crats
02:11Cheetah speed and lizard glide
02:14Falcon flight and land ride
02:16Gonna go wild, wild, crats
02:18Gonna go wild, wild, crats
02:20Gonna go wild, wild, crats
02:22Gonna go wild, wild, crats

02:29Cheetah Racer
02:30Here she is
02:39The fastest runner on the planet
02:41The cheetah
02:42Isn't she amazing, Martin?
02:46Martin?
02:46Hey, Chris
02:47You looking for speed?
02:49Check out my new sneakers
02:51Whoa
02:52Those are some rock and running shoes
02:55Yeah, I can feel it already
02:56I'm gonna run so much faster in these
02:59Well, I hope so
03:00Because according to historical data
03:02Your top speed is 15 miles per hour
03:05To outrace a cheetah
03:06You gotta go 55 miles per hour faster
03:09To hit a
03:09Top cheetah speed of 70 miles per hour
03:12Sorry, you're not gonna be top cat for long
03:15Hey, she's eating and her belly's full
03:20But she still doesn't look too worried
03:21Well, she should
03:23These shoes have what it takes
03:25Spring hair soles
03:26Air slicing surface coating
03:27And rocket-boosted racing stripes
03:29I'll be able to run faster than a speeding cheetah
03:32Leap over tall rhinos in a single bound
03:34I'll be the fastest living land animal
03:37When's race time?
03:39As soon as we can get her on her feet
03:40And I know just the truth
03:44What happens if I run our footage of a speedy gazelle
03:47Through a holographic projector?
04:01All right!
04:03On your marks
04:04Head set!
04:10Go!
04:17Yeah, go Martin!
04:20Go cheetah!
04:22Chris, aren't you gonna cheer for your brother?
04:25Hey, somebody's gotta root for the cheetah
04:27Wow
04:28A running cheetah is a beautiful sight to see
04:31Martin's trying really hard
04:42Whoa
04:44Whoa
04:51Wow!
04:55Whoa!
05:04The Gino wins!
05:10That was close!
05:13Not so close.
05:14Oh, so you were the Blur I saw going by.
05:18You win that one, Blur.
05:21And the Criteria took a beating.
05:23It's a great off-road vehicle, but no human-made vehicle can handle this rough terrain.
05:29Cheetah speed.
05:31Hmm. We'll see about that. Let's see.
05:35Cheetah sneaks? No. Criteria? No.
05:38What invention could match cheetah speed racing across the rough-and-tumble African savannah?
05:43Ha ha. Don't waste your time, Aviva.
05:45The cheetah's the fastest land animal on Earth for a reason.
05:48It's the perfect design for running across rough ground.
05:51You can't outrun a cheetah on the African savannah. No way!
05:56Uh, yes way.
05:57No way!
05:58Yes way! I'm going to invent an invention that can run faster out here.
06:03Faster than a cheetah. Faster than anything!
06:06No way!
06:07Will you stop saying that?
06:08That wasn't me. Yes, it was.
06:10Wait a minute. I recognize that voice.
06:14Of course you do. It's the voice of the inventor you wished you could be.
06:18Spying on you from within my spy cloud.
06:27You didn't even know I was here!
06:29Ha ha! I should have rained on you!
06:32Nice.
06:33Now, you're just jealous because I have always been a better inventor than you.
06:37Oh, really?
06:38What about at science camp when my potato clock kept better time than your moldy bread clock?
06:43Or the time...
06:44Oh, forget about that!
06:46You're only as great as your last invention.
06:48I want in on this racing contest, and this time, you're all going to eat my dust.
06:53Oh, yeah?
06:54Okay, this is getting very interesting.
06:57Two inventions duking it out in a cheetah race.
07:00Well, I'm sticking with the natural speedster.
07:03Nothing can beat the fastest runner on the savannah.
07:06Oh, big surprise!
07:15What's wrong with it?
07:16Nothing. She just thinks you look like a vulture.
07:19Ha ha. What's with the spots? It looks sick.
07:24Cheetahs have spots. That's what makes them beautiful.
07:27Beautiful? Ha! You know what's going to be beautiful?
07:30When I beat that sick kitty, and...
07:34You in a race!
07:36You're on. Let's have a race.
07:38My cheetah racer against your...
07:40ZTV. That's a Zack Terrain Vehicle. Yeah!
07:45What if the cheetah wins?
07:48Oh, yeah. Ha ha. That scrawny thing wins a race. Right.
07:53Well, you'll have to beat her fair and square.
07:55This is a ground race, so no flying vehicles.
07:58Here he goes with the rules again.
08:00And no using animals to power your machine.
08:03That's not only mean, it's cheating.
08:06No cheating.
08:07Only cheetah-ing.
08:09Ha ha. That's okay.
08:10Me? Cheat? Never.
08:13Okay. We have three hours to complete our inventions.
08:16And then we race at sundown.
08:18Winner is the world's best inventor.
08:23Okay. Let me have a look at you, Blur.
08:26What design features give you your speed?
08:28Well, for starters, the four L's.
08:31The four L's?
08:32Light, long, lean, and lanky.
08:35Yeah, she is skinny.
08:36That makes sense.
08:38The lighter she is, the easier it is to push herself forward quickly.
08:41So my invention has to be light.
08:44This is gonna be easy.
08:45I want a heavy titanium frame that can handle anything big bad Mother Nature throws against me.
08:52Zackbots, assemble!
08:57Ah! Not you!
09:00Assemble the frame for my ZTV racer!
09:05So, I have a cheetah-inspired frame for the racer.
09:08Most of her is skinny, but check it out.
09:11She has a really huge chest.
09:13That's because she has extra large lungs.
09:16And a huge heart.
09:17Yeah!
09:18For its body weight, the cheetah has one of the largest hearts and lungs of any animal.
09:22Large lungs to bring oxygen to the blood, which is pumped by the heart to power the muscles.
09:27Okay, so I need a system that delivers maximum oxygen to power the cheetah racer's engine.
09:32Let's see her in action again.
09:33Guys, can you get her running?
09:35Sure! Not a problem.
09:36The cheetah has excellent eyesight.
09:39Up there with the best long-distance vision of all mammals.
09:42Even in bright, glaring sunlight, a cheetah can spot prey.
09:46Those beautiful black markings absorb light, cutting down the glare.
09:50So she can always spot prey and spring into action.
09:53Except when she can see it's the same trick as hell from last time.
09:58Just learned something else about cheetahs.
10:00They're smarter than your average wildcat.
10:03And wildcrap.
10:05Yeah!
10:07Let's see.
10:08Falcon, firefly, gazelle!
10:12Need this?
10:13Oh, yeah.
10:15Powering up is cheetah prey.
10:17Now that's what I call creature crazy!
10:20It's been good knowing you, brother.
10:23Activate creature powers.
10:38Of course!
10:40I'll use the invention of my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather!
10:45The wheel!
10:47With this high-tech racing tire, I will zoom to the finish!
10:52Oh, man!
11:02All set!
11:06So, Blur, ready to have some fun?
11:09She has you in her sights, Chris.
11:11How's this looking for gazelle behavior?
11:14Blur likes what she's seeing!
11:16A cheetah looks for a gazelle who isn't paying attention.
11:19So I'll just focus on looking for some nice gazelle grass.
11:23Ooh!
11:24Too green, not too dry, too spiky.
11:28The cheetah stalks as closely as she can.
11:30A cheetah can run super fast, but only for a short time.
11:33The gazelle can't run as fast, but can run for longer.
11:36So, before she makes her move, a cheetah tries to get close.
11:40She's getting pretty close!
11:43She's getting really close!
11:46Pan, drop seed grass, nutritious, high fiber.
11:49Chris!
11:52Whoa!
11:54Woo-hoo!
11:57Whoa!
11:59A cheetah runs with long strides!
12:02At top speed, each stride covers 25 feet, the length of a small school bus!
12:07It's the backbone!
12:08Look at that, it's bending!
12:10When it bends down, it stretches the legs out further so each stride is longer,
12:14so the cheetah covers more ground with each step!
12:17Uh-oh!
12:17She's catching up!
12:19Too fast!
12:20Must engage evasive maneuvers!
12:22The gazig-zag!
12:24He's going with the gazig-zag!
12:26The gazig-zag?
12:28Yeah, the gazelle's zig-zag!
12:29The gazig-zag!
12:30Trying to throw the cheetah off!
12:33But the cheetah can gazig-zag, too!
12:35He's staying on Chris's tail!
12:37Speaking of tails, look at the cheetahs!
12:39It's whipping right, left, up, down, right, left!
12:41Keeping the cheetah on balance!
12:43Oh, she's catching up!
12:45Woo-hoo!
12:45I can't shake her!
12:47Ah!
12:48Whoa!
12:49Ugh!
12:51The bendable backbone feature is exactly what I need!
12:55Ooh!
12:56Whoa!
12:58Oh, don't look at me like that!
13:02Whoa!
13:03Whoa!
13:04How about that tail balancer?
13:05Can you put in one of those?
13:07Aviva, you'll need one for turning through the rough terrain!
13:10Whoa!
13:12Whoa!
13:14Whoa!
13:17Whoa!
13:20Whoa!
13:20Whoa!
13:20Whoa!
13:21Whoa!
13:22Whoa!
13:23Whoa!
13:23Whoa!
13:25Whoa!
13:26Whoa!
13:28Whoa!
13:37Hey!
13:39But I did discover something interesting on this last takedown!
13:42Except for that sharp dewclaw for hooking and tripping!
13:44A cheetah has nails like a dog!
13:47Oh, yeah!
13:48Almost every cat!
13:49Lions, house cats, leopards have retractable claws!
13:53These claws stay in the paw when the cat is walking or running to protect her sharpness!
13:58And only come out when the cat grabs something!
14:00Oh, yeah!
14:01Look at that!
14:02In and out!
14:04But in the cheetah, the claws are always out!
14:06Because the cheetah's a runner and runners need traction!
14:09The claws dig into the dirt so the cheetahs can push off to top speed!
14:13I'm on it!
14:15We'll add traction claws to every foot!
14:17I'm on it!
14:41We'll add traction claws to every foot!
14:43But we've got a race and I really need to get back to the Tortuga to help out!
14:51So, if you wouldn't mind letting me go, that would be...
14:54Great!
15:03Ready for testing!
15:05Let's run it!
15:06Powering up treadmill!
15:07Hit the spot thruster, MK!
15:10Spot on!
15:12Hey!
15:13This is feeling pretty smooth!
15:17Forty miles per hour!
15:19All systems functioning!
15:21The back phone is really bending!
15:23Sixty miles per hour!
15:25Bending too much!
15:27Seventy miles per hour!
15:30Is this a cheetah racer or a bucket crock-o?
15:34Hmm!
15:35Might want to take down that backbone bendability a little.
15:39I smell mud!
15:46Nice mud in this puddle!
15:48Huh, guys?
15:56My zack terrain vehicle is complete!
16:00Right on time to defeat a very annoying aviva!
16:05Roll me out!
16:07Hey!
16:08Ah!
16:12Not me, me!
16:14Me and my ZTV!
16:23GTV!
16:25Safari Edition!
16:29The cheetah racer!
16:38Race time!
16:40Hmm!
16:41Where's Blur?
16:42Yeah, I saw him run away!
16:44Like a scaredy-kiss!
16:48And you should, too!
16:50The only place I'm running to...
16:53Is the finish line!
17:00When's the last time you saw Blur?
17:02Well, let's see...
17:04When she tackled me for the third time...
17:07Then what?
17:08I don't know!
17:09She probably got tired of toying with me and went for a nap in the shade!
17:14But she's supposed to win this race!
17:17I've gotta find her!
17:19The race is starting in two minutes!
17:26Here it is!
17:27Peregrine Falcon!
17:41Activate Peregrine Falcon Power!
17:45Yeah!
17:53Oh yeah!
17:53I've gotta get a bird's eye view on this!
17:56Find Blur!
17:56Find Blur!
17:57Oh yeah!
18:00Cat Lumber!
18:02Ahah!
18:03Ahah!
18:03Ahah!
18:03Oh, looter!
18:07On ya marks!
18:12I can see our whole territory!
18:15But NO sign of Blur!
18:19Get set!
18:23Go!
18:25Woohoo!
18:46Whoo!
18:46Whoo-hoo!
18:48Ha-ha-ha!
18:49All right!
18:50Go, guys, go!
19:00What is that?
19:02My extra-sensitive falcon eyesight.
19:04Capable of spotting a duck from one mile away.
19:06This spotting...
19:09Spots?
19:11Spots from inside Zack's machine?
19:14Time to stoop.
19:17Also known as a falcon dive.
19:20In a stoop, a falcon flies 200 miles per hour.
19:25What's going on in there?
19:32I knew it!
19:33He's using a cheater to power his machine.
19:36Ha-ha!
19:37But not anymore!
19:41Yeah!
19:43Whoa!
19:45Blur!
19:46Chris!
19:47Zack's using a cheater!
19:49Blur's afraid to jump!
19:50Do the gazig-zag!
19:52I'm on it!
20:01You can still win this race!
20:04You can still win this race!
20:08Yes!
20:10Huh?
20:11Huh?
20:11Hmm!
20:15I knew I couldn't rely on wild cats!
20:18Or not be bothered by wild rats!
20:22Huh?
20:23How many times do I have to tell ya?
20:25It's wild crats!
20:27Pfft!
20:28Rocket boosters!
20:32Whoa!
20:34Whoa!
20:35Whoa!
20:36Whoa!
20:37Whoa!
20:39Whoa!
20:40Whoa!
20:43Whoa!
20:43Whoa!
20:44Give him Cheater Velocity!
20:48Zack!
20:49You're still cheating!
20:50You're flying!
20:51No, I'm not!
20:53See that polymer string?
20:54It's touching the ground!
20:56So technically, I'm on the ground, not flying!
21:02Huh?
21:03Ha-ha!
21:04Are you kidding me?
21:05But hey, if you want to keep cheating, then we wild rats will just
21:09keep cheating!
21:10Let them hit the leg!
21:11Going, Aviva!
21:16Go!
21:16To the finish line with creature power!
21:20So true!
21:26Go, Aviva!
21:32We'll go!
21:33Go, Aviva!
21:34To the finish line with creature power!
21:35Engage Cheetah's tail balance!
22:01Where's he going?
22:03Ooh, Zack is out of this one!
22:05But we still have a race!
22:08Oh, no! I'm out of here!
22:21Woohoo! Yeah!
22:25Blur by a whisker!
22:30Great racing, Aviva!
22:31Yeah, way to whoopsack!
22:34I always knew you were the greatest inventor!
22:36Just a whisker behind Mother Nature!
22:41Hey, where's Chris?
22:42Not again!
22:45Oh!
22:47Oh!
22:49Oh!
22:50Oh!
22:54Oh!
22:56Does anybody want a gazelle creature power disc?
23:06Free?
23:09The cheetah is still the fastest land animal on the planet!
23:14Even with technology, humans still can't outrun him in a rough terrain full of obstacles!
23:19I want a rematch!
23:21I want a rematch!
23:24Even the cheaters can't beat the cheetah!
23:31The speed of the cheetah is so incredible!
23:34But there are so many other cool things that nobody even talks about!
23:39Cheetahs have so many different sounds!
23:41They chirp like a bird!
23:43When the mother cheetahs call their young, they make a sound that sounds exactly like a bird chirp!
23:49A cheetah has incredible eyesight!
23:52I mean, they can see miles across the savannah, in the glaring sun, picking up prey or predators!
23:58And check out those cool black stripes on the cheetah's face!
24:02Those are there to cut down on the glare of the sun, because cheetahs hunt during the day when it's
24:08really bright out!
24:09The black stripe is kind of like the ones football and baseball players wear!
24:13And they love to sit up high on termite mounds or rocks to really get a good scan of their
24:19surroundings!
24:20That way they can tell if any lions are coming or other dangers, and they can see where prey is!
24:27One time, when we were filming in Africa, there weren't any rocks around, and the cheetahs decided to use our
24:34Jeep as a lookout!
24:36They weren't afraid at all, crawling all over it and hopping inside for a quick visit!
24:41It was awesome being so close to such amazing creatures!
24:48Nose to nose with a cheetah!
24:53But it didn't last long, and when a passing gazelle caught their attention, they were off on the hunt!
25:06So there are so many cool things about cheetah, but somehow, it always comes back to their biggest creature power,
25:14their awesome speed!
25:16Cheetahs are the ultimate speedsters!
25:18And to give you a better idea of how fast cheetahs really are, let's compare ourselves to other animals!
25:23We can walk as fast as a porcupine waddles at 2 miles per hour!
25:30Our bikes can get as close to the speed of a hopping kangaroo at 25 miles per hour!
25:36In a speedboat, we can go as fast as a zebra at 40 miles per hour!
25:40But there's only one thing that can get as close to the cheetah's speed!
25:44Our critera!
25:48Cheetahs are awesome!
25:50Keep on creature adventuring!
25:52We'll see you on the Creature Trail!
