Farmers-Govternment battle over date of purchase of paddy

On Friday, farmers in Punjab and Haryana protested against the central government for the government procurement of purchase of paddy. In many districts, farmers saw it as a conspiracy. The farmers surrounded the Deputy CM of Haryana, while Gurnam Singh Chadhuni, leader of the United Kisan Front, has given a 24-hour ultimatum to the government.
