The ruling coalition in Maharashtra has issued a call for a state-wide bandh on Monday to protest against the killing of farmers in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri last week. Four others, including BJP workers and a journalist, were also killed in violence triggered by the deaths of farmers who were run over by cars, allegedly ferrying BJP workers.
