RSPCA calls for government to save certain dogs from destruction

The RSPCA are calling on the government to abandon a law that targets the destruction of certain breeds of dog.

In August last year a man from Northfleet avoided a prison sentence, after his Japanese Akita attacked an eight-year-old boy causing him to require a metal plate in his hand. The breed is not listed under the current act.
