00:00 (gentle music)
00:02 A desperate leopard had been hungry for days.
00:06 His stomach was grumbling.
00:09 He came across the shore of a river
00:13 and spotted a dead prey.
00:16 The leopard's mouth began to water
00:19 at the sight of the delicious meal.
00:21 And he began to approach it cautiously.
00:28 As he drew closer,
00:30 he noticed that there was a crocodile
00:34 lying next to the prey, guarding it fiercely.
00:37 The leopard knew that he was no match for the crocodile,
00:42 but his hunger was so great
00:44 that he couldn't resist trying to steal the prey.
00:46 He crept closer and closer,
00:52 trying to get as close as possible without being noticed.
00:56 (crocodile grunting)
00:59 But the crocodile was too clever.
01:01 (crocodile grunting)
01:04 It snapped at the leopard fiercely,
01:06 sending him running back into the jungle.
01:09 He would have to look elsewhere for his meal.
01:12 The leopard gingerly made his way across the river,
01:19 trying not to disturb the water
01:21 and attract the attention of any predators.
01:24 (gentle music)
01:26 But the crocodile's sharp eyes were not easily fooled.
01:39 The leopard never saw it coming.
01:51 One moment he was crossing the river
01:53 and the next he was being pulled under by the crocodile.
01:57 Desperate to escape, the leopard used all of his strength
02:05 to try and pry himself free from the crocodile's jaws.
02:09 That night, a camera captured the gruesome sight
02:14 of the crocodile dragging the leopard's lifeless body.
02:17 As the crocodile dragged his kill back to his den,
02:22 he knew that he had proved himself once again
02:25 as the top predator in the jungle.
