00:00 The world has become a greener, cleaner world.
00:03 The developing countries are investing billions of dollars in renewable energy.
00:08 But what about the developing countries that signed the Paris Agreement in 2015?
00:14 A former official at the International Bank said that these developing countries need more than a trillion dollars annually as investments in renewable energy.
00:23 A former United Nations report said that these countries need $1.7 trillion in these investments to achieve their goals of climate change.
00:34 But they were only able to attract $544 billion of these investments in 2022.
00:42 The gap between the investments of developing countries and the need has reached $4 trillion annually in 2022.
00:50 This is 60% higher than in 2015, when the gap was $2.5 trillion.
00:59 But these investments, and the largest investments in infrastructure, water and transportation, have doubled in size,
01:06 almost three times since 2015, but most of these investments have been directed to developing countries.
01:13 After the strong recession in 2021, the size of investments in developing countries, or in renewable energy fields,
01:21 dropped by 12% to $1.3 trillion, and the size of investments in developing countries decreased by 37% in 2022.
01:32 More than 30 countries have not signed any major international projects in renewable energy fields in 2022.
