00:00 An insider close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has revealed a little about their dynamic
00:05 at home, which they insist works for them.
00:09 According to a source, Meghan Markle makes the decisions at home with her husband, Prince
00:13 Harry.
00:14 According to the insider, Meghan runs the household, a scenario that both she and Harry
00:19 are happy with.
00:21 The Duke and Duchess of Sussex presently reside with their young family in a nine-bedroom
00:25 mansion in Montecito, California.
00:28 According to the source, Meghan and Harry are really happy with their lives in the United
00:32 States, despite the fact that they are significantly different from their prior royal lives in
00:37 the United Kingdom.
00:38 "Meghan appears to run the household and make the decisions, but he does not bend for
00:43 her," they added.
00:44 "It's just a dynamic that works for them and may be one that he needs after everything
00:49 he's been through," an insider told POPL.
00:53 The pair has been in the United States since 2020, where they have settled with their children,
00:58 Archie, four, and Lilibet, two.
01:01 The remarks follow recent allegations that the couple's five-year marriage is going
01:05 through a rough period.
01:07 Despite this, a source informed Page Six that the rumors about the Sussexes' marital problems
01:12 are "literally made up" and "not true."
01:15 This news comes on the heels of allegations that the pair purchased the rights to Carly
01:19 Fortune's book, Meet Me at the Lake.
01:23 According to rumors, the pair spent three million pounds for the rights to make a film
01:27 adaptation of the novel for Netflix.
01:30 The best-selling novel was launched in May of last year, and 37,000 copies were sold
01:35 in the first week alone.
01:37 According to the publisher, the book is a "breathtaking love story" about two strangers
01:41 who come together when they need each other.
01:44 According to one source, the project could be their "most significant yet."
01:48 The themes that follow in the book are also strikingly similar to Meghan and Harry's
01:53 personal reality.
01:54 The book delves into topics such as a parent's death and the termination of a long-standing
02:00 friendship.
02:01 Anne's Fortune's bestseller is also set in Toronto, where Meghan was based while filming
02:06 the U.S. drama Suits.
