00:12 In New Mexico, a heart pounding rescue of a newborn caught on camera.
00:20 It all started with the mom going into labor and the dad speeding to the hospital.
00:27 She's like, hey, like I feel like the back to the baby coming back and do his head, you know, pushing.
00:32 And I was like, OK, like, just hold on.
00:34 We're almost there. Just hold on.
00:35 So I was I was going a decent speed, you know.
00:38 State police officer Ismael Perez sees Miguel run a red light and tries to pull him over just as he turns into the hospital.
00:46 He pulled in behind me and I get out as quickly as I can.
00:48 I'm like, hey, like my son is on the seat.
00:50 My son's on the seat.
00:51 Open the door. I see a newborn baby on the seat laying there motionless.
00:57 Miguel's wife had given birth in the car, but the umbilical cord was compressed and the baby wasn't breathing.
01:02 Officer Perez begins patting the baby's back, trying to clear his throat.
01:08 There we go. There we go.
01:11 Breathe me. Officer Perez then hands the baby over to the nurses, disinfects his hands and congratulates the new dad.
01:18 It's a boy. Congrats, brother.
01:21 All in a day's work for the father of three.
01:24 I have three kids of my own.
01:25 It was definitely a beautiful moment and I'm happy to to be a part of it.
01:29 And I'm just glad the baby's OK.
