Trump's Legal Team Unpaid

Several attorneys who played key roles in President Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 election results attempted to collect payment for their work but ultimately failed to receive compensation, according to congressional testimony and Federal Election Commission records. The funds raised were funneled into Trump's leadership PAC, Save America, now used to cover his legal expenses in various criminal cases. Despite raising $250 million in donations for Trump's political operation in the weeks following the election, attorneys, including Rudy Giuliani, were not paid as promised. The failure to honor payment agreements occurred during interviews with prosecutors investigating the January 6 Capitol riot. Other attorneys, including Sidney Powell, also did not receive payments for their election-related work, even though they contributed to fundraising appeals that garnered millions of dollars.
