00:00 Hello men. Hello, how are you? I mean this is the best day of my life.
00:04 I got to cuddle with a dog today. It's incredible, I know. They're so well mannered.
00:08 So question, if they're so well mannered, why are they so raunchy in the movie?
00:12 It's acting. Yeah. Yeah, they're actually quite circumspect in real life.
00:17 They've been directed to be raunchy. That's it. But in their normal times they're very lovely.
00:22 You guys probably get pitched a lot of pretty crazy ideas. Why was this crazy idea of Wonderland?
00:26 Yes, we have to be involved. We seem to be attracted to things that no one else is willing to do.
00:32 I mean, we always try to do something that feels new and different and hasn't been done before.
00:37 And a very raunchy, very funny, R-rated, talking dog movie seems like something that hasn't been done before.
00:44 And the script was really sweet, written by Dan Peralt, who's very talented.
00:48 We were big fans and so we just, we were like, why not?
00:53 Which came first, the dog or the voice? How did you decide, oh, Jamie Foxx really looks like this Boston Terrier?
01:00 Oh, that's interesting. I think there was... It was the dog's first. It was the dog's first.
01:05 And there was a lot of competition amongst the filmmaking team about which dog is the best breed.
01:14 And there was a lot of people putting their thumb on the scale for their own dog's breed.
01:19 So most people were like, Corgis are obviously, should be the star of the movie.
01:24 And I was like, oh, I believe the Labradoodle breed is the number one top breed.
01:29 The Cavapoo is a very cute dog. It's a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Poodle mix.
01:35 It's amazing.
01:37 I mean, just being on this carpet, this has literally been one of the best days of my life.
01:41 It's sweet. I'm sick of why, when you're on set with this dog.
01:44 Oh my gosh, they are so cute and so sweet. And you just want to grab them and take them home.
01:48 And actually Josh, the director, took home one of the dogs and it's his dog now.
01:54 It's his dog!
01:56 This is not the film that maybe you think, like Lassie, Beethoven, people will expect.
02:02 What can audiences expect from this season?
02:05 You will stand up and cheer.
02:08 It is the kind of movie that creates such engagement with the audience that in the climactic,
02:14 R-rated moment of the film, the audience breaks into applause, which was our goal the whole time.
02:21 And it really happened. So if you're a stoned teenager in Thousand Oaks, you already know
02:26 this is a great movie to see with your friends in a movie theater.
02:29 You got Will Ferrell, you got Jamie Foxx, you got Randall Park, you got Isla Fisher and Will Forte.
02:35 Super duper funny movie, but also really, really sweet.
02:39 It has a real heart. It's a really warm film as well.
02:41 So, and there's a bunch of cute dogs. Come on.
02:44 And check your gift basket when you walk out. You might have a puppy in there.
02:48 Have you had conversations where you guys were like, "Okay, this is too far."
02:53 Or were all the conversations like, "No, further, further."
02:57 Um, I would say we cut back on the poop.
03:01 It's true. We were like, "This is a little too much poop. It's not fun anymore."
03:06 Yeah. To make room for the pee, obviously.
03:10 You guys are Gordon Miller.
03:12 Right.
03:12 You are synonymous with each other. Are you each other's PFFs?
03:15 Yes.
03:16 We have not actually literally peed on each other, but we're sort of metaphorical.
03:19 Not intentionally.
03:20 Metaphorical PFFs.
03:22 Yeah.
03:22 Thank you guys so much.
03:24 Thank you.
03:25 Have a great night.
03:26 All right. Cheers.
03:29 Cheers.
