00:00 From one to two, the expected career from Philippine Cycling.
00:05 The signing of Philippine Cycling Vice President Oscar Rodriguez.
00:09 Let's find out who they are in the heart of KSN Show.
00:12 The Figuron Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines Vice President Oscar Rodriguez Jr.
00:19 will be the two to be the runners-up of the Philippine Mountain Bike Cross Country Team
00:23 in the upcoming 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games.
00:26 The position of the World Cycling Championships Campaigner Ariana Evangelista is confirmed here.
00:32 And another Filipino rider who was with her in Kumarera
00:35 is now the National Defending Champion, Shane Yau Yau.
00:38 From Philippine Cycling, they are the only ones with a secure slot in Asia
00:42 where their 2023 Cambodia Southeast Asian Games performance was based.
00:49 There are only two because Mayor Bambol is the POC President.
00:56 He said he wants to raise the standard, it should be only gold and silver.
01:03 Ariana won silver in the C Games. Shane only won bronze.
01:11 But in mountain bike, it's a team effort because sometimes your opponent is three or four.
01:18 So Ariana should have a partner there. That's why we included Shane in the Asian Games.
01:26 Although the two have different training routines,
01:30 these will continue with their training according to Rodriguez.
01:34 Evangelista is training online with Spanish coach Javier Sola,
01:39 while under the system of National MTB Cross Country Coach Evo Quinones, Yau Yau is a defender.
01:46 During the competition, we saw that Ariana's training is sufficient.
01:51 During the race, she's listening to Coach Evo.
01:57 She has strategies in her career. They're doing good.
02:04 I told them not to let up because this is a chance in a lifetime for them to become Olympians.
02:13 The two made it possible for the Philippines to reach the top 2 of the UCI Nation Ranking in Asia.
02:19 After their success in the next UCI races since October of last year,
02:25 the two are still far from field cycling.
02:28 With a heavier international exposure, the two are looking forward to playing in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
02:35 The next race will be held at Seoul International MTB from August 25 to 27 in Kuching, Malaysia.
02:43 KSNU Sean for TV Sports.
