00:00 The official of the Philippine Ports Authority in Bohol,
00:04 BAC, was the one who got the job.
00:06 After their party and drinking in their office,
00:11 one of them is an acting port manager.
00:16 Mark Salazar was there.
00:18 This is the birthday party of the acting port manager of the Philippine Ports Authority in Bohol last Wednesday.
00:27 It's like a harmless song with a band and drinks.
00:31 But in this multi-purpose hall of their office in PPA Bohol,
00:36 the venue is already clear.
00:38 There's even alcohol.
00:39 That was after 5pm already.
00:43 But you know, Mark,
00:45 our work is 24 hours.
00:49 So we can't consider it after office.
00:53 Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the PPA facility.
01:01 Aside from the acting port manager,
01:03 eight other people from the birthday party were transferred to other positions
01:07 while the investigation is ongoing.
01:09 After that, the punishment will be known.
01:13 We are trying to get them to give an explanation.
01:15 According to the Civil Service Commission,
01:18 it is impossible to violate the Conduct Prejudicial to the Best Interest of the Service
01:23 and Misconduct or Abuse of Authority,
01:26 which has a punishment of six months to one year suspension.
01:30 Let us not use our respective positions.
01:32 I'm a port manager.
01:34 I can do this.
01:35 It shouldn't be like that.
01:36 Five million.
01:37 Official transactions.
01:39 The commission also reminded that only simple celebrations are allowed in offices
01:44 under certain conditions.
01:46 Lunch break.
01:47 Then suddenly, someone brought a birthday cake.
01:51 They will eat it.
01:52 That's allowed.
01:53 Alcohol.
01:54 You can't drink alcohol in government offices.
01:58 In the bar.
01:59 Smoking is also prohibited inside government offices.
02:02 The PPA assured that the same incident will not happen again
02:06 because they will strengthen the surveillance system of the head office in their branches.
