00:30 We don`t have any information indicating any intentional attack by Russia, and we are awaiting
00:37 the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
00:41 Regardless of that outcome, what we have seen, of course, is a lot of fighting and also air
00:49 attacks close to NATO borders, and we also have other incidents in Poland and elsewhere.
00:56 And therefore, we have increased our visions, we are closely monitoring what`s going on
01:01 close to our borders, and we have also increased our presence in the eastern part of the alliance.
01:11 But some MEPs are worried.
01:15 This Romanian one says that NATO and his country`s authorities must do more.
01:19 I am most worried by the fact that the authorities are apparently doing nothing.
01:24 We want to see troops there, we want to hear the plans of NATO and Romanian authorities
01:30 about what they are doing against those drones, because if it happened once or twice, for
01:35 sure it can happen again.
01:37 Jens Stoltenberg briefed MEPs on the latest European security developments and EU-NATO

01:43 One of the main questions was about Sweden`s bid to join the military alliance.
01:49 The ratification of it is currently blocked by Turkey and Hungary.
01:53 But one MEP warned that Ankara should not use NATO expansion to blackmail Sweden.

01:59 Turkey has to allow Sweden to join without any conditions.
02:02 And that`s something I asked Mr. Stoltenberg.
02:04 I know he`s doing his best to use his status and prestige to make it happen like that.
02:10 The NATO secretary general also repeated his claim that Sweden will very soon be the military
02:14 alliance`s next member state.
