00:00 A bright green bus pulled up in Media City today on the 12th of September,
00:04 blasting disco tunes and handing out little green teddy bears.
00:08 Electrical retailer AO's Kitchen Disco Party Bus has been touring UK festivals this summer,
00:14 and its final pit stop was Media City.
00:17 Despite the miserable weather conditions, the party did not stop,
00:21 and AO's bear mascot kept the atmosphere uplifted as they danced the morning away.
00:26 We headed down to get a tour of the bright green party bus and find out what it's all about.
00:31 Well as you can see for the summer such as it is, it's typical Manchester weather isn't it?
00:37 After all that hot week we've just had, we decided to take the big smiley AO brand out
00:44 on the road this summer. What better way to do it than with a bus? Obviously it's fitted out
00:48 with a kitchen and in true kind of memory of lockdown and all those kitchen discos,
00:55 you can get on board, enjoy some music, get some great social content,
00:59 there's all sorts on the bus to surprise you, lots of lights, lots of music,
01:04 lots of reflective stuff and you can just go on and have a bit of fun.
01:08 There's a bit of everything, there's a bit of disco, we've heard a bit of 90s,
01:12 we've got some chart stuff, so anything you like really and we've got a DJ on board so
01:18 if you want to pick a song because you really want to get that little video clip,
01:22 then we can do it for you. So we've been sponsoring lots of like food festivals and
01:26 things like that, so we've done Feastival, we've done Pub in the Park over the summer.
01:31 Obviously because of the brand that we are, what we do, we sell electricals, particularly famous
01:36 for kitchen appliances, made sense to associate the brand with food and so we picked some food
01:42 festivals. It's been all over the UK this summer, this is the last week it's around,
01:47 so we thought we'll bring it to Media City, picked a rainy day which is a shame but hey,
01:52 here it is and you can get on board and come and enjoy it. It really is designed for social content,
01:58 so we've seen hundreds if not thousands of posts over the last few weeks while it's been touring
02:03 the country. It's had a brilliant reception so maybe we will bring the bus back next year,
02:08 we've seen it all over the country, so it was down in St Albans at the weekend
02:13 for Pub in the Park. Obviously we've been in Media City today, we were in the Cotswolds for
02:18 Feastival and it's had a really brilliant reception, people have had a load of fun on that
02:24 bus, probably looking a bit tired now after a battering over all the festivals in the summer,
02:29 people have really loved it, so watch this space, we may well bring it back.
02:34 So we have our mascot, the bear, the famous AO bear, we've got lots of bears to give away,
02:38 we've also got full-sized bears, so if you want to have a dance with him, you want to open the
02:43 fridge, take a mirror selfie because that's what's hiding in the fridge, there's a washing machine in
02:49 there, there's a cooker in there, enjoy the music, you can get some really cool social content for
02:55 you and your mates, so people have had a great time with it and hopefully they'll have enjoyed
