00:00 The message to the international community is to mobilize funding as soon as possible.
00:04 There are needs concerning infrastructure, damaged homes, damaged water stations, damaged dams.
00:10 But more importantly, you have thousands of people who have passed away,
00:14 who have lost everything that they have worked for to build.
00:17 And these communities, especially those impacted in Derna, need emergency assistance.
00:23 They need access to shelter, safe shelter. They need access to food, drinking water.
00:28 They need access to basic essentials.
00:30 And more importantly, you have thousands of young people and children who have also been impacted by this severe storm,
00:36 who are going through a very, very difficult physical and mental situation.
00:41 So we need teams that can provide psychosocial support to these young people.
00:45 So I urge the international community to mobilize resources for the Libya response,
00:50 for local actors on the ground, for international organizations as well.
00:55 Given that Libya has been a crisis that has been underfunded for some time now.
