00:19 thrilled that today we have seen the outcome of our Year 6 Legacy Project. It's something
00:25 we do every year for our Year 6s and the idea is that they fundraise for something that
00:30 they leave behind, something that is a true legacy, something to make our school a better
00:35 place. And last year's Year 6 loved reading, they were always talking about books and sharing
00:41 different recommendations and they came up with the idea to paint an amazing mural for
00:46 our library. So they commissioned Rory McCann, who's an amazing wall artist as you can see
00:51 from behind me, and they contributed to his design. And this week we've gone from a blank
00:57 white wall to the amazing mural that's behind and we are so grateful to our now Year 7s.
01:03 So tell me what the reaction was like when the now Year 7s saw it. So we've invited them
01:08 back for the grand unveiling and they were just bowled over. The designs that they came
01:15 up with look even better and they were all like "Wow!" as they unveiled it, so exciting.
01:21 And why is it important in your eyes to do these sort of projects? Well first of all
01:27 it actually gave them the experience of raising money and having a purpose and something to
01:34 encourage them to come up with those different ideas. They did some sponsored events, they
01:38 also ran a fair and it means that there's always part of them here as well. Primary
01:42 school is such a special time in a child's life and actually they can come back in the
01:47 future, maybe with their own children and this will still be here.
