01:34 The Relief Centre Foundation alongside
01:37 the CRTV and other partner
01:40 organisations are creating awareness on
01:43 breast cancer via a sports walk at the
01:46 Yaoundé Park of Vita. Breast cancer is one
01:49 of the principal causes of death among
01:52 women in Cameroon and the world at large
01:55 so there is a pressing need to develop
01:58 new and effective anti-cancer agents with
02:01 the support of the Relief Centre Foundation.
02:04 One of the cheapest, Larry's Naneh
02:07 Poteh, was part of the sports walk.
02:10 Prevention starts with physical exercise.
02:13 So, the appointment is fully heated by
02:16 these women of the Relief Centre Foundation
02:19 and concerned sister associations including
02:22 women of the Cameroon Radio and Television
02:25 Corporation, CRTV. This is equally to raise
02:28 awareness on breast cancer.
02:31 The objective of this breast cancer awareness
02:34 walk is first of all to raise awareness,
02:37 greater awareness about breast cancer.
02:40 One in eight women are going to be diagnosed
02:43 with breast cancer in the course of their
02:46 lifetime. We are here to show support to
02:49 those who are battling with this disease
02:52 like a candle for those who have passed
02:55 away. We are equally at risk. Thus, the
02:58 campaign remains inclusive.
03:01 So, we are here to let the population know
03:04 that there is breast cancer and it is not
03:07 only women who are concerned. Breast cancer
03:10 affects both men and women. So, if you
03:13 notice a change in your breast in any way,
03:16 please rush to the hospital because breast
03:19 cancer is very, very fatal.
03:22 Breast cancer and other educative talks
03:25 marks the event in Yaoundé.
03:28 A football match pitting the Association
03:31 of Dwarfs of Cameroon against the Striking
03:34 Eagles of the US Embassy in Cameroon is
03:37 ongoing at the American School of Yaoundé.
03:40 The friendly is in line with activities to
03:43 mark the Dwarfism Awareness Day observed
03:46 every October 25 in a bid to honour
03:49 Billy Batty, an American actor with
03:52 Dwarfism and Breakdown Barriers. The
03:55 encounter is being supervised by the
03:58 Chargé d'Affaires at the American Embassy
04:01 in Cameroon, Mary Dashback.
04:04 Well, be sure to get developments on that
04:07 story in our subsequent news editions.

04:25 From the first light of day, the women
04:28 members of the association have climbed
04:31 the mountain of Mount Febelleur, pleading

04:40 In their ranks, a few ladies from
04:43 the association are still fighting for
04:46 their rights.
04:49 A wave of waves is rippling on the
04:52 heights of Mount Febelleur in Yaoundé.

04:58 peak of the hill to carry the message of
05:01 early screening of breast cancer.

12:22 The COVID-19 pandemic has been used as
12:25 a pretext to open the digital era in
12:28 education in Cameroon.
12:31 The Ministry of Basic Education is
12:34 working on it.

24:43 - Now, those feedbacks that have made you to be a nominee
24:46 this year at the Akanoa Film Festival
24:49 that ends today, what is your appraisal
24:52 of this year's organization of the festival?
25:34 Camerounais, long métrage Afrique centrale.
