00:00 Cowboys, 49ers, Lions, and others all picking up Ws
00:04 over the weekend.
00:05 Philly, consider the top dog as of now,
00:08 but who's the biggest threat to them in the NFC?
00:10 - I would have to say Detroit.
00:13 And I think it's mainly because of the quarterback.
00:17 I really like Jared Goff,
00:18 and I know you're probably gonna rant and rave
00:20 about the 49ers, but I trust Goff
00:22 before I would ever trust Brock Purdy.
00:24 And I like the way that Detroit wins.
00:26 Detroit wins close games,
00:28 games that are in the balance.
00:30 Even the game against the Chargers,
00:32 that game could have went the opposite way very easily.
00:34 So the fact that they hung in there
00:36 and were able to stay composed enough to get a big win,
00:38 I love what Dan Campbell's doing
00:39 with the culture of that team.
00:41 I do think they're not as good as Philly,
00:44 but if there's any team that's gonna threaten Philly,
00:47 especially when it comes to number one seed,
00:48 it's definitely Detroit.
00:50 - You know what kind of games the Lions win?
00:51 Games against teams that are 500 or below.
00:54 They haven't beat a winning team
00:55 since week one against the Chiefs,
00:57 and that game was basically handed to them
00:58 by Kedarious Tony.
00:59 The two winning teams they faced, they lost to.
01:01 The Seahawks got absolutely smoked by the Ravens.
01:04 Every other team they've beaten has been 500 or below.
01:07 It's the San Francisco 49ers, clearly.
01:10 The 49ers were banged up.
01:11 Trent Williams, the best offensive lineman
01:13 in the game was out.
01:14 That's one of the reasons that Brock Purdy was struggling.
01:16 Obviously, Devo Samuel was injured as well.
01:19 Now that the 49ers are healthy and raring to go,
01:23 they're on the same playing field as Philadelphia.
01:26 We were talking about this as a possible undefeated team
01:29 just a few weeks ago.
01:30 Brock Purdy looked great once things were right
01:32 in front of him again, so I think it's Philly,
01:34 I think it's San Francisco,
01:35 and then I'd actually put Dallas up next.
01:38 - But to your point, you just said once things went right,
01:41 and what separates Philly from San Fran,
01:43 and even I'd say the same thing about Detroit,
01:46 is that things have to go right for San Fran to win.
01:49 When they don't go right, palms get sweaty,
01:52 back sides get a little tight,
01:53 and I feel like in the playoffs
01:55 and the latter parts of the season,
01:56 there's gonna be instances where not everything's going right
01:58 and you still gotta find a way to win.
02:00 And I'd rather trust Detroit before I ever trust San Fran.
02:04 - San Fran's been there before.
02:05 If anybody's gonna be mom's spaghetti, it's the Lions.
02:08 (whooshing)
