00:07 Good evening, Kapuso!
00:08 I am your brother Kim, who will give you the trivia behind the trending news.
00:12 Comeback is real!
00:14 There is a species of animal in Indonesia that was considered extinct,
00:18 but it was re-created after more than 6 decades.
00:21 [music]
00:25 In this video, the trail camera was taken by scientists from Oxford University.
00:29 In Cyclops Mountain in Indonesia,
00:31 a unique animal was caught.
00:34 But instead of being scared, it was attacked.
00:36 This is probably the most dangerous animal in the 70s,
00:39 the first and last study of an expert.

00:45 Brother Kim, what kind of animal is considered extinct or extinct,
00:50 but was once photographed in Indonesia?
00:53 Brother Kim, what is it?
00:55 Its name is Saglosus atenboruhi.
00:57 It has a snout like an anteater,
01:00 ears like a hedgehog,
01:02 and limbs like a mole.
01:05 The unique egg-laying mammal seen in Indonesia is named David Atenboru,
01:10 a famous adventurist and TV host.
01:12 [music]
01:15 It was only spotted once in 1961.
01:18 After that time, it was not researched or studied.
01:21 Until 2007,
01:23 the nosepokes of Saglosus atenboruhi were spotted in the mountains of New Guinea.
01:28 The nosepokes are the fruit of evolution
01:30 due to the different feeding habits of the echinacea.
01:33 The Saglosus atenboruhi is classified as critically endangered
01:37 or really endangered by the IUCN
01:39 or the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
01:42 [music]
01:43 The fact alone that it has sighting
01:45 means there is still hope that its species will bounce back
01:48 from disappearing here on our planet.
01:50 So, its capability to bounce back is in our hands.
01:53 But at least we have hope because it's not completely extinct yet.
01:58 Aside from the echinacea, there is another mammal that has a powerful egg.
02:01 What animal is this?
02:03 [music]
02:07 Like the echinacea,
02:08 the platypus that can be seen in Australia are egg-laying mammals.
02:12 The male species of this semi-aquatic creature
02:14 has a bill that looks like a shoe and a tail that looks like a beaver
02:18 and a foot that looks like an otter.
02:20 It's one of the few venomous mammals in the world.
