00:00 Today we woke up to the fantastic announcement that MoBo Awards are coming to Sheffield.
00:04 These are the UK's largest celebration of Black music and culture, and we're incredibly
00:09 proud that Sheffield has been chosen as the host city for 2024.
00:13 Sheffield has a rich musical heritage, and I'm really keen to see a legacy to bring
00:17 the MoBos here, by inspiring a new generation of homegrown artists and performers.
00:23 Earlier this month, the Council adopted a framework to bring even more major events
00:26 to the city.
00:27 It's great that this is already starting to pay off, with one of Europe's largest
00:31 music award ceremonies coming to Sheffield.
