00:00 For the past few years, Pets to Impress have made productions with their daycare dogs,
00:06 all in aid of the Santa for Strays charity.
00:08 So the first production was our own unique version of the nativity, which we did in 2021.
00:17 We did it kind of on the backlash of COVID. I just wanted something to cheer everyone
00:23 up a little bit after the rubbish year that everyone had. And then last year, obviously
00:28 it was very successful. So last year, with high demand, we decided to do another one
00:33 and we decided to make our own unique version of Scrooge.
00:38 This year's production, Tim has created his very own story named A Winter's Tale, after
00:43 coming up with the idea as he took a few of the dogs out on an adventure.
00:47 This year's story follows Tom as he visits the South Pool to see Santa Paws and many
00:51 other festive friends.
00:52 How about a bit of a ham too? Yeah, yeah, I love the ham. I have some ham please. That
00:59 make me a happy elf.
01:00 I throw in a bit of liver too, like a little bit of liver. But seriously, is anyone going
01:01 to tell us what to do with these stickers?
01:02 Bernard boy, we've been thinking maybe you could do the dance this year. We want to save
01:14 our energy for the flight.
01:16 The dogs' owners were invited to the premiere of the production and all of them seemed to
01:20 really enjoy watching their dogs on the big screen.
01:24 My dog is Junior and he plays an elf.
01:28 What did you think of the production tonight?
01:31 I thought it was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I don't know how he comes up with the ideas.
01:37 Very good.
01:39 So my dog is an elf and he was one of many, well a few different elves, but yeah, it was
01:48 really sweet.
01:49 Did you enjoy it?
01:50 Yes, definitely. It was very original, just really sweet, really funny and the dogs, all
01:58 the dogs had such wonderful parts and it was really lovely.
02:03 So our dog is Martha. She's a labradoodle. She's three now, three years old and she was
02:12 an elf in the play.
02:15 Did you enjoy it? Did you enjoy watching it?
02:18 It was really great. It was just great to see her having her own role in it. Really
02:24 enjoyed it.
02:25 Whilst the productions are a bit of fun, they are also created in aid of the Day Care Centre
02:30 for Strays charity, which helps animals that sadly don't have a home.
02:34 You see we do this for annual Centre for Strays where people can make donations such as beds,
02:41 towels, dog food, cat food, cat litter, disinfectant, newspapers, toiletries, things like that.
02:48 And then this year we'll be going up to Bryson's Cat and Dog Shelter on Wednesday 20th December
02:54 and we'll be dropping all them donations off for the animals that sadly just won't have
02:59 a home this Christmas. So I hope it will put a little wag in their tail.
