00:00 All right, moving on over to Corey Bierman because his legal troubles just keep on mounting
00:04 because his attorney, Marles A. Bergstrom, has filed a lien against him for alleged unpaid
00:10 bills amid his divorce from his wife Kim. So in documents filed, Bergstrom's law firm
00:16 filed a consent attorney's lien in the amount of $801 against all recoverable property of Bierman's
00:24 upon any judgments and decrees recoverable in his divorce against Kim. So the filing states that
00:29 the unpaid amount of fees and services include his ongoing legal matters through November 15th,
00:35 including any interest that may have accrued pursuant to CROI's August 24th agreement with
00:40 the firm. So obviously he is not paying his credit card bills, he's not paying his legal fees, so
00:48 what exactly is going to happen in this scenario? Yeah, CROI, man, we've talked about their
00:55 financial problems at length and now you get a lien because of an $800 legal bill. So I think
01:03 probably in the big scheme of things, this is the least of CROI's problems. But ultimately what the
01:09 lawyer wants to do is perfect that lien. By doing so, they're actually first in line. He wants to
01:15 be a secured creditor, which means that if there is a bankruptcy or some other type of reorganization
01:21 or if they can't pay bills, the lawyers will be at the front of the line and then those unsecured
01:25 creditors have to get paid afterward. Got it. So they got to get paid first. I mean, we've said
01:30 it time and time again, why aren't they filing for bankruptcy at this point? I'm surprised.
01:35 Obviously I'm not their CPA, but everything that's been reported publicly is they are in
01:40 pretty bad financial straight. So bankruptcy exists for a reason and you can come out of bankruptcy
01:46 and get your life back on track. And the reason it does is you discharge all these debts. Now,
01:52 there's some types of claims that aren't dischargeable in bankruptcy, but the vast majority
01:57 of our, these types of creditors would really go away if the couple did file. I'm surprised
02:02 they haven't done so yet.
