00:53 The Indian Space Research Organisation detailed that the ground qualification tests included
00:58 live demonstration tests, endurance tests and performance assessments under nominal
01:03 operating conditions as well as off-nominal conditions concerning thrust, mixture ratio
01:09 and propellant tank pressure.

01:13 According to ISRO, all ground qualification tests for the CE-20 engine under the Gaganyaan
01:18 programme have been successfully completed.To meet human rating standards, four engines
01:24 underwent an impressive 39 hot-firing tests under various operating conditions, accumulating
01:31 a total duration of 8,810 seconds.
01:35 This exceeds the minimum human rating qualification standard requirement of 6,350 seconds.
01:42 But that's not all.
01:44 ISRO has also triumphantly concluded the acceptance tests of the flight engine designated
01:50 for the first unmanned Gaganyaan mission, tentatively scheduled for the second quarter
01:54 of 2024.
01:55 This engine, set to power the upper stage of the human-rated LVM-3 vehicle, boasts a
02:02 thrust capability ranging from 19 to 22 tonnes, with a specific impulse of 442.5 seconds.
