00:23 Now without the Pac-12 and a power four, if you wanna call it that,
00:28 you have five automatic qualifiers, excuse me, for
00:32 five conference champions and seven at large births.
00:36 The five plus seven for the 12 team college football playoff.

00:47 I've hated the idea of college football expansion from the beginning.
00:50 It dynamically changes the regular season and how teams will play and
00:55 what it means to them and everything else.
00:56 That aside, I mean, rewarding the conference champions makes the most sense.
01:02 However, there is going to be some sort of consternation going here that
01:07 teams that don't win their conference championship, and let's just take the SEC.
01:12 You get an undefeated SEC champ and a one loss SEC champ, who's gonna end up with a,
01:17 or one loss SEC non-champion, is gonna end up in this seating pool
01:22 against a conference championship team that isn't as good.
01:26 Theoretically, you could have a two loss ACC champion, a two loss big 12 champion,
01:32 and a one loss SEC non-champion, and they're going to be ranked lower.
01:36 I mean, we're going to have this issue here where there's going to be some better
01:41 team that's gonna end up getting the shaft, similar to what we see in the NFL when
01:44 there's a below 500 division winner who gets a home playoff game versus a 11 and
01:50 four, what is it, 11 and six now wildcard team that has to go out on the road.
01:55 I mean, it all kind of depends on how it shakes out, but
01:58 that's what you're going to see.
01:59 And again, we get stuck in these cycles here with this stuff, guys,
02:02 where we try to make perfect the enemy of good, right?
02:05 If you're gonna just do 12 teams, just pick the best 12 teams and
02:08 see them accordingly.
02:09 At the end of the day, if the college football player of rankings don't
02:13 determine one through 12, then why are we keeping them at this point, right?
02:17 If it's not going, then what is the point of the CFP rankings to be there?
02:22 Because you could have, as I just said, you could have a one loss SEC team be
02:27 ranked in the top four, and yet they're going to end up with a six seed.
02:31 I mean, what's the point of the rankings if we're not going to follow that?
