Labour’s national campaign coordinator denies claims the party is heading for a ‘super majority’ in next month’s General Election. Speaking ahead of its manifesto launch on Thursday, Pat McFadden also urged people to vote for change and dismissed suggestions its policy platform lacks any ‘big ideas’ – despite the Unite union refusing to endorse the party’s plans.

00:00I think the Tories should stop trying to dictate the result of the election and get on with sorting out their own manifesto which was a total recipe for chaos.
00:12People are still paying the price of the chaos they caused two years ago and they don't want a repeat of that.
00:18They want an alternative to it and that's what they're going to get with the Labour manifesto today.
00:23Look I think we've got real ambition in the manifesto that we're publishing today.
00:29We start with six first steps. A stable economy. Cutting NHS waiting lists. Setting up a secure border command.
00:36Establishing a new publicly owned energy company. Cracking down on antisocial behaviour. Hiring more teachers in our schools.
00:43This is change worth having, change worth voting for and change that will make a real difference to people's lives.
00:49This election is nowhere near decided. Nobody's voted yet. Not a seat has been won or lost.
00:57But one thing's for sure. If people want change they have to vote for it.
01:02And the question on people's minds at the ballot paper will be do we want five more years of what we've had in recent years or is it time for a change?
01:11And if people focus on that and vote for change then we can achieve it.
