00:14In the video, two women approach the victim, ask her a question, and then begin attacking
00:19her.
00:20The altercation is believed to have occurred in the parking lot of a building, likely a
00:24shopping mall in the area.
00:26Penampang OCPD Superintendent Sammy Newton reported that the first arrest involved an
00:3218-year-old, seen in the clip assaulting the victim.
00:36Penampang District Police are actively searching for the other woman involved in the attack.
00:41The 25-year-old victim was also arrested for not having valid identification documents.
00:47Preliminary investigations suggest the assault was motivated by the victim's alleged affair
00:52with the husband of one of the suspects, who is still at large.
00:56The case is being investigated under Section 323 and Section 506 of the Penal Code for
01:03Voluntarily Causing Hurt and Criminal Intimidation, as well as Section 6, Subsection 1, Subsection
01:09C of the Immigration Act 1959-1963 for staying in the country without valid passes or permits.
