00:00Senate President Chisa Escudero promised that the Congress can pass the Electrical Power Industry Reform Act before President Marcos' next session.
00:12It's a pass on the request of the President to lower the electricity bill.
00:19And now, the rise of Meralco's electricity bill is just over.
00:23Some of our countrymen are discarding their own to save on electricity.
00:27The tip talk is about that in the report of Mark Salazar.
00:34From Php 1,700 to Php 2,100 is the electricity bill of Lina Villedo.
00:42She is surprised because nothing has changed in their use of electrical appliance.
00:47I think it's too high. We can't do anything. We need to pay.
00:52If we don't pay, it will be cut off.
00:55She is discarding her children and grandchildren to stay outside the house if the weather is not hot.
01:01When we go out, the electric fan is off.
01:05We use the Wi-Fi.
01:06When we sleep, there are only a few lights on.
01:08Tomorrow, there will be only one so that it will be bright.
01:11Then the electric fan.
01:12In order to save, Rudy Blando uses an icebox instead of a refrigerator.
01:18In the water, I always use a cooler so that I don't have to save on electricity and money.
01:27If there are things that need to be put in the refrigerator, I put it in the cooler.
01:32If he wants to save on electricity, according to the expert,
01:35he should always unplug the appliances that he doesn't use.
01:39He doesn't use it, so it's a waste. He still consumes energy.
01:45There are appliances that have LED lights, particularly television.
01:50It's on. You can see that it's red.
01:53It means that it's consuming electricity.
01:56Always clean the air conditioner filter.
01:58If you're going to use it when it's not that hot, set the temperature to 25 degrees Celsius.
02:05Avoid overloading the refrigerator so that the air can circulate inside.
02:11He also uses an LED bulb because it's 20 to 30 percent lower in consumption.
02:17At the end of the day, when you are energy efficient, you save on energy.
02:21And the consequence of that is you save on your energy costs and your bill will be cheaper.
