00:00Ever since Kamala Harris took over the Democratic ticket, she's been surging in the polls.
00:04However, most have still had her neck in neck with GOP candidate Donald Trump.
00:09Well, a new survey conducted by Social Sphere has revealed
00:12young voters in battleground states might just win her the race.
00:15According to the poll, Harris has some 51% support from voters age 18 to 29.
00:21Meanwhile, Trump garnered just 42% from that same cohort, a 9% spread.
00:27Even when accounting for other candidates, including RFK Jr.,
00:30Cornel West, and Jill Stein, Harris retained her 9-point lead.
00:34And this could reveal a political shifting of the tides.
00:37The poll was last conducted in early July before President Biden dropped out.
00:41At that time, Trump led 48% to Biden's 44%.
00:45Since then, Harris has also seen a rise in her approval rating,
00:49going up 16 points after taking over for Biden.
00:52She now has a 49% approval rating.
00:54Trump, on the other hand, has stagnated.
00:57Sitting at 40%.
00:58A recent morning consult poll has also corroborated the Social Sphere survey as well,
01:03finding Harris leads Trump by 9 points amongst under 35 voters.
01:07That survey also revealed a 4% lead over Trump amongst all voters nationally.
