00:00Kamala Harris recently took the nation by storm after President Biden stepped aside.
00:04Now the Vice President has clinched the Democratic nomination officially,
00:08and supporters from all over have shown up for her at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
00:13Among those was freshman firebrand Congresswoman from Texas, Jasmine Crockett, who made waves
00:18recently after going head to head with Marjorie Taylor Greene. During her speech, she detailed
00:23her first days in office when she was having second thoughts about her new job.
00:27As I approached Vice President Harris for our official photo,
00:32she turned to me and asked, what's wrong? Mind you, we'd never met, but she saw right through me.
00:43She saw the distress. I immediately began crying.
00:51And the most powerful woman in the world wiped my tears and listened.
00:55Harris was lauded for her leadership and her ability to lift people up,
00:59something her campaign has used as a contrast to Donald Trump,
01:02who Georgia Senator Raphael Warnock says, quote, traffic's in division.
01:07He does not know how to lead us, and so he wants to divide us. America, make no mistake.
01:14Donald Trump is a plague on the American conscience.
01:18With actor Tony Goldwyn sharing a similar sentiment.
01:21She has a message for us. It is a message that's joyful, not mean spirited.
01:29A message of public service, not self-service.
01:32A message of optimism and opportunity, not chaos and division.
