00:00The Democratic National Convention is coming to an end in Chicago, and it seems so is the
00:05presidential bid for independent candidate, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
00:09ABC News reports the announcement will be made official on Friday in Arizona, where
00:14he will discuss the present historical moment and his path forward.
00:17Nicole Shanahan, RFK Jr.'s vice presidential running mate, told reporters recently that
00:22he might be leaving the race soon.
00:24She also indicated that he might be doing so to endorse and even join Trump's campaign.
00:29Shanahan formerly told CNN that he was open to Kennedy being part of his administration,
00:33if and only if Kennedy dropped out and endorsed him.
00:36RFK Jr. has formerly said he's, quote, not a fan of President Trump's.
00:41However, it was recently reported that the pair met at the RNC in Milwaukee last month.
00:45They reportedly discussed cabinet positions for Kennedy at that time, ones that do not
00:49require Senate confirmation.
00:51However, the anonymous sources say that Kennedy's anti-vax stance was worrying to Trump's campaign.
00:57Now it seems the former president's deteriorating poll numbers may have changed his mind.
01:02However, Kennedy's numbers are also fading.
01:04His support stands at just 4 percent, down from 10 percent last month.
