00:10Tops on our stories tonight, newly minted PCO chief Cesar Chavez has set out a lofty
00:17task for himself barely a week into his anointing as agency head, regularizing all contract
00:24of service or COS workers in the department by next year.
00:28This declaration he laid out in a presentation earlier today for his office's budget before
00:33a house panel hearing.
00:35Chavez said the absorption of his office's 217 COS personnel is part of the reorganization
00:42process and the hierarchical structure submitted in May this year and under review by the Department
00:49of Budget and Management.
00:51The 217 COS personnel represent 47.4% of all 485 positions in the office as of June 30
01:00this year.
01:01Right now, the office has 207 existing plantilia positions with 60 more that needs to be filled
01:07out with the department's HR management office vowing to fill out at least half or
01:1330 vacant slots by the end of the year.
01:18Meanwhile, winning the peace in Gaza continues to elude the Palestinians, the U.S. and much
01:23of Israel's freedom and peace-loving people, yet the Biden government continues to lay
01:28out a more detailed truce plan even as Israel's killing spree in Gaza has not leapt up.

02:52I don't see a way that Israel can defeat Hamas.

03:10in the October 7th Hamas terrorist attack that killed 1,200.
03:16It was the first time that the families protested alongside anti-government demonstrators.
03:21If we want to make a change here in Israel, we've got to go out and shout for stop the
03:30war and for a deal now.
03:33As a mediator, the United States can only do so much to help bring lasting peace to
03:39the region, analyst Stoll says.
03:42I don't think we have a significant amount of influence over the parties.
03:48I think they are doing what they think is best for them.
03:52The head of the CIA, William Burns, did announce on Saturday that a more detailed ceasefire
03:57proposal will be made in the coming days.
